Inspired by the furniture found in the opium dens of long ago and created from reclaimed wood, this table is rich in history and style. The low-profile table with an angular top juxtaposed with dramatically curved legs will make the Reclaimed Wood Opium Table-Square a conversation piece in any space. Each of the wood varieties—including rosewood, teak, mango and acacia—used to hand-craft the Reclaimed Wood Opium Table-Square was originally used in bridges, homes and other buildings throughout India, most dating back to the colonial era, and salvaged prior to demolition of the structure. Due to the woods’ weathered history and varied character, knotholes, slight cracks and indentations can be expected and do not compromise the piece’s structural integrity, but rather add character to the design. Due to the construction process and materials, slight variations that enhance the piece's character should be expected.
